Snippet Keyboard — Privacy Policy
Effective 2026. Applies to the “Snippet Keyboard” apps on iOS (uk.trinh.snippetkeyboard) and Android (uk.trinh.snippetkeyboard).
The short version
Snippet Keyboard collects no data. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no accounts. Your snippets stay on your device.
What the app stores, and where
- Your snippets and settings are stored locally on your device, in a private container shared only between the Snippet Keyboard app and its keyboard extension.
- Nothing is uploaded to us or anyone else. We operate no servers and receive no data from the app.
- Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your payment details.
The keyboard does not read your typing
Snippet Keyboard has no typing engine. It only inserts snippets you saved. It does not log, store, or transmit keystrokes or the contents of any text field. The “clear text” key deletes text in the field you're editing at your request and nothing more.
Network access (iOS “Allow Full Access” / Android INTERNET permission)
Static snippets work fully without any special permission. If you grant “Allow Full Access”, the network is used for exactly one purpose: when you tap a dynamic snippet — a snippet you yourself created from an https:// URL — the keyboard fetches that URL at that moment and inserts the response. Requests go directly from your device to the URL you chose, use an ephemeral session (no cookies, no cache), and are never routed through or seen by us.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, changes are unlikely.
